there is very little hassle beyond building the openmosix kernel itself when set up
in via LTSP. Use lstpa(?) utility from the LTSP contribs to coppy teh omdiscd to the
ltsp export and set it ina script to be called at client boot. Client setup and
migrating.

An OpenMosix cluster as teh LSTP server workd very well and helsp keep the load spread
out over all the server machines. I was using an openmosix-LSTP server for do some
video conversion on thin clients for a while it worked out pretty well.

Actuall over head on the openmosix cluster is less than 2% off bandwidth( check teh
openmosix FAQ wikki). Migration though can really eat bandwidth so you do need at
least 100mb cards you can channel bond teh servers to increase the pipe though.

Actually openmosix would _definately_ provide help in that department. I believe you
can just mount the srver root as the node root and have all the clients lok _exactly_

IT is very easy to do. Just download and examine the packages to find out what you
want. LTSP is more or less just a config script( that makes life easier) for tftp,X,
and dhcp with the the ltsp_core package providing a small root file system and kernel.

The real problem with what yall want is that LTSP is not really a program at all. IT
is just a fancy config script for other apps.

One last thing to check here, just to be sure and to eliminate possible source, try
replacing teh host name with host ip in the root-path setting. IF this works then the
problem is in the DNS setup. Or LTSP can't do DNS lookup till after boot is finished.
