You need to find the NAS plugin for XMMS on xmms.org's site. Once you
install and set that up, xmms should work using NAS. Haven't tried it
myself, though.

Assuming that sound works normally, you could just use realplayer.
Try using play on a wave file as a test.

Hi Brady,
I managed to get this to work using esd and mpg123/gqmpeg.
Once I confirmed that the sound modules were loading into the workstation
kernel I copied esd and it's required libraries from the server to the
ltsroot/sbin ~/lib etc directories then added code to start esd into
rc.local.

I have configured my LTS client (a ThinkNIC) to play sound via the LTSP
sound package. I have run checks with the auinfo utility and things seem to
be good.
I understand that XMMS can be configured to play sound on the client via
OSS, but I can't figure out how to do it. I have sele
