What version of dhcpd are you using? If it's 3.0.3, there's a problem.
Fortunately, the fix is easy.

I've missed the initial conversation of what's going on.
If your client is saying 'Seeking server (DHCPD)' (btw, I think you
need to reread what it says on the screen, because although I've seen
something similar, I don't think that's exactly what it says).

Version 3.0.3 of DHCP does not allow my terminals past the looking for a
DHCP server stage, reverting to 3.0.2 and all's fine.

I am having problems getting dhcp to work on one machine. The motherboard is
a Asus A7V8X-X with an embedded NIC. As this machine does not currently run
linux but Win2K, I downloaded a pci utility and obtained the following

I have installed LTSP on my server.
I also have installed DHCP, and it works fine, I tried it on an XP
workstation, it gives it an IP address, everything.
I created a floppy to boot LTSP with a dumb workstation.
