During the last HOSEF board meeting we discussed possible HOSEF logo
suggestions because the current logo at the website is somewhat
confusing.
A logo would have to be something fairly simple, nothing like
photo-realistic. I think it should have some kind Tux Penguin, a big
"H" for Hawaii, or oth

Stan...you may very well have a bad CPU Fancausing the CPU to
overheat, and the system to crash. If you are not in the mood to open up
the unit, I would suggest that you attempt the fsck progs and if they
don't yield an answer, you would be well advised to take it to a
reputable service pro

equipment from them for myself and others and NEVER had a problem with
anything. They have repaired four laptops for me over the
DO NOT go to Personal Touch.
I've caught them so many times BS'in about products just to make a sale.
On one instance I wanted a hotswap eide bay for my XP box. They were so
adamant about what they told me at the time of sale that all the
employees were like "oh I run XP and it works for me". So I
SuperGeeks is a good company, been around for many years. I've sent people
to them and never had a complaint.
The flat rate pricing is nice and from what I understand they do Linux.

I dont think that Personal Touch is trustworthy.
I bought a used Apple Cinema Display there last year for $199.
The thing never worked properly (except in the store). It always took
over two hours to get a picture, and the picture wasn't even clear but
yellowish. Anyways, I bought the thing as-is
