I can make network scan with these Brother Wifi devices, but only
through a Windows virtual machine running inside GNU/Linux.
Brother seems to provide network scanning software only for Windows,
because it uses a closed~privative protocol.
Decent network scanners are FTP capable, and then all
I install many computers with GNU/Linux (laptop and desktop), and 99% of
Wifi adapters worked, some with special configuration, and some without

Unless your mobile device runs Lubuntu, this mailing list has nothing to
do specifically to wireless tethering.
Lubuntu in the traditional computer should allow to connect through a
Wifi device to a wireless network if it's present and properly configured.
Nothing specific to wireless tethering.

What exactly do they need from a web browser?
Why other browsers than Mozilla's aren't useful for C.P. scenario?

I think lubuntu.org is the best domain name+extension to set as official
web home. I see nonsense to create others as .me
If the problem is the content maintainment, the solution is to fix the

This happened time ago with Ubuntu-Gnome (I saw in 70% of installations).
I created a dedicated script to automatically restore desired keyboard
layout. I attach it. It must be started with desktop.
This script is written for Gnome, but it can inspire you to create an
LXDE variant.

I walk with 10~20 ISO files in a single USB memory pendrive to perform
lots of installations and hardware tests with different GNU/Linux
distribution.
Grub has been my best option, but it's very tricky to properly configure
grub.cfg for each different OS.

Is there some disagreement between he and Ubuntu communities that caused
the registration of lubuntu.me by Rafael Laguna?

At lubuntu.me there should be a third link for powerpc downloads too.
It's very difficult to promote GNU/Linux for this architecture (and
tests) if it's "hidden".

It has no sense that Lubuntu-aternate ISO (and maybe desktop too)
exceeds 700MB.
Debian-Live-LXDE exceeds the normal CD size too.

I understand scrooyahoo's arguments and agree with the reasons, but is
being very rude when judging others' choices.
I insist to scrooyahoo: there are other distros & communities apart of
Ubuntus/Canonicals and, most of people who disagrees with
*buntu/Canonical policies, migrate to that other

scrooyahoo or whoever are you;
You are exaggerating with subject about jews and World War II.
*buntu OS distros are GNU/Linux flavours created with Canonical
policies, a company (not community) with *some* policies focused on FOSS
and community relationship.
This is not a community-driven OS

The .1 release is the most important, because it's a stabilization of
LTS ISO release.
Next point releases introduce new kernels & GUI and this can introduce
new bugs to discover.

Hello, I don't see any image/torrent published for Lubuntu 16.04.1 in
