Yep, I think I've mentioned that same slow boot time in both of my PPC
Xenial installs, Lu & MATE . . . as well as slow boot for FF . . . once
that gets going things move along fairly well . . . but it's not a zippy
boot process to the log in window.

Did you install Lubuntu with UEFI ? Windows 10 will use this new feature,
the boot startup time might be different also because of this. But anyway,
Windows 10 kind fakes a fast boot, the system is not fully loaded when
password prompts.
