Hello, all!
Speaking of Francesco da Milano, does anyone know of a playable edition =
of his works? I have access to the Ness edition, but, given the numerous =
page turns, I find it impossible to play from it. I have thought about =
retyping every piece into Fronimo, but that would take a very

Hi Ed,
I don't know what numbers those are. I get all my music from the
extraordinary resources the Internet provides, and these came from something called
the
Internet lute society (I think). Are there any more pieces of a similar standard
if difficulty you could recommend? I looked through

A small dog may work better for this.
With a small desk fan, setting it on the floor, a little farther away may

You want to avoid putting the fan on a large resonant surface, such as a
thin table top. Something heavy and rigid (like a

My ceiling fan is brand new, good quality, and therefore perfectly quiet.
But it causes a warble in the lute's sound. Very annoying. I think it
comes from sound reflecting off the moving blades (Doppler effect) -- if

Well, Roman and Arthur each sent me different addresses, and they
bounced too! I wonder where Paulo is...

The one I have used ran on house current; I simply connected zip cord and a plug to

Dear Doc,
These are the addresses (listed below) which I have found, which
Paulo has used to send messages to Wayne Cripps' Lute Net and to the
Vihuelista (Spanish Vihuela/Lute Net). I suspect they may all be out

touch with you
PS Alas Roman is right about the musicaliaportugal site, which looks
highly suspicious. I didn't dare click on Enter.
I did, and it was exactly what I suspected.

Also, I don't know if this is an option for you,
but a ceiling fan should
be fairly quiet.
Just be careful if you play an archlute or theorbo in
the same room as a ceiling fan.
