Hmm, I was able to build yesterdays version from cvs without any problems after running autogen.sh and unapplying a patch that had made it in and caused problems. My system is a Mandrake-7 with gcc-2.95.2. Btw: does anybody whether the latest STL that comes with gcc-2.95.2 supports stringstream?

Hi folks, I did a full checkout of lyx-devel: rm -rf lyx cvs get -d lyx lyx-devel cd lyx ./autogen.sh ./configure make rpmdist I get that error with direction.h, but a simple "make" works, so it's a packaging problem rather than a make problem. The fix is included below.
