secs on my pIII 600.
1. open users guide
2. change language in document dialog
3. select all
4. reset language using character dialo
View->Postscript, View->DVI, or event Print functions are not showing
any changes.
Exiting LyX and re-starting lets you see your latest edits. This was
not happening a few days ago.

There is a minor error with displaying the epsilon:
In an equation I can insert (of course) math symbols by (for example) typing
\rho and in the formula inside the lyx window a nice greek rho is displayed .
But when I do this for the greek \epsilon the latex code is not converted
into a greek

If I configure lyx with --with-version-suffix, make and install it and then

then I am unable to import LaTeX files, because lyx looks for reLyX and
cannot find it. It should be looking for reLyX-1.2.0cvs.
