We are pleased to announce the release of LyX 1.5.6. This is the fifth
maintenance release in the 1.5.x cycle that has been started exactly
one year ago. The aim of this release was to make LyX even more robust

On the other day a command definition of lyxmathsym appeared in the preamble of
my LyX made tex file. But this command is used nowhere in the tex file. Could
you tell me wheather it is a bug or it is ok to be there for some reason. I
found that it is because the usage of the é character in math

I uploaded the new version 3.25 of the LyXWinInstaller. Like for the last
versions, an update
installer is offered. With this you can easily update your LyX 1.5.5
installation to LyX 1.5.6:
Log in as adminstrator on your PC and execute the update installer.
