I tested all 3 versions with the OS set to french (Normally I would
set the OS to Icelandic but ther is no icelandic version of LyX so I
did not notice any problem)
I have got an ppc mac running OS 10.4.11 and the test results are the
following:
LyX_t0 did not pick up the OS language

Since you did the same for me when I started, Abdel, I'll be happy to

To all troubled LyX/Mac users:
We have currently two issues that some LyX users experience on the Mac:
1) Starting with version 1.5.6 LyX does not pick up the OS language
anymore, but always uses the English UI.
Question: Is that the case for everybody or just a few users? (I cannot

For testing purpose, I made my latest experimental binaries available to
Paul Rubin. I thought I could let other testers try it.

What do you mean? The patch is not by me but I wanted to noticed the list about the patch because
the patch author has not yet commit permissions. So when the patch is OK, somebody of us has to put
it in.

I won't feel abandoned Abdel .. Never had so much e-mail before I joined
this list (and reported a few bugs) ;-).

Hi,
I just posted two new bugs to bugzilla concerning tables (bug 5145+5146)
both leading to an assertion (crash).
It doesn't look like your backtrace, but at least you now know what
*not* to do when handling tables.

With 1.6.0rc1, I'm frequently getting assertion error, especially when
dealing with tables creation, manipulation, copy cells, undo tables
operations etc. And the operation seems not very reproducible. Would that
be related to some current bugs, or is it new ones (hope not!)...

Another repainting bug.

I think this bug is already in bugzi
I've observed that with 1.6.0rc1, setting vertical bottom or top alignment
ends up a middle alignment at the output (I didn't use a ruler to measure it
though!), and setting "middle alignment" gives me a bottom alignment.
I'm not sure if it's because of some special settings that I've touched, but

Right, we solved quite a few crashes lately.
I'm not very familiar with this OS as I'm more of a Linux man these
days. How do I capture useful crash data to post on
