Jürgen,
Consider the attached example file. It seems that a \cprotect is needed
at each level of nesting. I took a look at Paragraph::needsCProtection()
and I cannot figure out why it's not leading to multiple \cprotect
commands. From what I read, it seems like the outer box would call
needsCProte
