I'm finding RC1 on XP to be a bit crash prone. However, the crashes are
not reproducible and seem semi-random. I'm not very familiar with this
OS as I'm more of a Linux man these days. How do I capture useful crash
data to post on the dev list?

If I am working on a document that has been checked for spelling errors
and has none. I then create a spelling mistake by adding a 'z' in the
middle of the word. When I press F7, the dialog box pops up, informing

opens up in my home dir (/home/killermike/). The filter for .lyx files
is set by default. This means that no directories are shown. Selecting
*.* as the filter and then selecting *.lyx again shows .lyx
