redraw problems

Since yesterday or so I observe massive redraw problems when resizing the main LyX window (xforms). The outer frame adjusts properly, so the window manager (fvwm2) is working, but there is no redrawing of the canvas at all. I can even move the whole LyX window or change focus and the canvas and

Attached is a screenshot of the typical LyX screen after it's resized using the mouse. I suspect that we get these problems because we aren't using the xforms event loop properly. (The gurus keep muttering about this occasionally I think, but I've never got to the bottom of what was wrong until
