Some layout problems

Hi everybody! I'm currently writing my diploma thesis with KLyX. I've had no previous experience with it or LaTeX so far. There are a few minor things I don't like so much, especially I'd like more control about where figure floats are placed in the text. I have set the placement rules to "htbp"
