Hallo, I would like to include an algorithm as float in a paper. It should look like: if(ddd) do blabla do more blabla else do other things ... I have seen that there is an algorithm float. The manual however does not say much about it, only that one needs the package

I think I've found my problem, but I don't know the solution. lyxrc.defaults in the main lyx subdirectory did indeed have a null value for \latex-command. What's more, subsequent reconfiguring in the lyx subdirectory told me that LaTex2e was "not usable" It also said that dvips was not present,
