I'm trying to get the win32 port of Lyx working on my windows 2000 computer. I've
successfully installed it on a win95 computer at home with the StarNet X server. I
don't seem to be getting a connection to the X server. See below for error messages. I
tried version 1.1.6fix1 and 1.1.5fix2.

Hello folks.
I am using the latest LyX (1.1.6fix1) on a Debian Woody system. I just
tried the new feature that lets me drop the filename extension on image
files ('image' instead of 'image.eps') so I can export to PS as well as
pslatex. When I drop the .eps, the images still preview, but they do

I am having real problems with integrating figures into LyX documents.
If I include them as .eps files, then for instance "View -> PDF
(pdflatex)" does not work. If I leave the .eps extension away, then
the figures are not rendered correctly in the

I find that LyX is easier to use than StarOffice or the other word
processors, but wonder if there is a template available for writing
short fiction or novels? If anybody has one, could they please gzip it
and send it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ? Thanks.

Dear lyx-users,
there is one thing that I am questioning myself from time to time,
perhaps you know:
Is there a special reason, why there is no direct support for
\frenchspacing in LyX? I think a yes/no-Button in the
"Layout -> Document -> Language" -Dialog would be nice.
Explanation:

Have you ever tried linkcolor=blue (for example)?
But for this option I think you have to use the hyperref-package :-)
For me the follwoing works pretty good:
