Hi,
I have used \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} in the preamble to overcome this problem.
What the T1 does is replace the obsolete OT1 (7-bit) encoding scheme with the 8-bit T1
which was a decision made at the TeX users conference in Cork. So it is known as the
Cork encoding scheme.

Export from LyX to LaTeX replace ">" by \textless{} and ">" by \textgreater{}.
Why?
I want to save "<" and ">" symbols in exported file.

Hi!!
After using happily LyX for a dozen of articles, I now found the first
problem: I have to write the bachelor thesis for which it was asked
the use of fixed-length characters (like "Courier") for the Standard
paragraph text.
I couldn't get that from any of LyX 1.1.6fix4 (on SuSE Linux 8.0)

Any package that can generate postscript (.eps) output. Gnuplot does bar
graphs (plot with boxes), and generates v. portable postscript. Openoffice

package should I use?
Thanks in advance.

perhaps export -> dvi would be a better choice?
(from within lyx)
view -> dvi will produce a transient dvi file - but does
it ever hit the disk?
same thing but will write blah.dvi to the current directory

Hi,
i use MacOSX 10.2.2 an tried to build lyx. I uses fink to install the
xforms library (version 0.89-2). Then i downloaded the lyx1.2.1 source
from the lyx.org website. Now the ./configure script does not find the
xforms-library files and headers, because they are in /sw/lib and
/sw/include.
