I am a novice lyx/latex user so please bear with me. I want to set up
journal styles e.g. Jfluid Mech , Phys Rev etc. I understand that the
journals have the various latex style files on their web sites. So how
do I go about importing them into lyx/ Miktex etc.

Hello,
my older lyx do a better output (in my opinion it looks better) then the newer
versions (last year).
The older lyx based on Suse 7.3 (longer than 4 years ago).
The output of the fonts (new century ?!) with older lyx is more lacy.
The output self in both is version is very good

Also as I said it happens on linux, too.
Do you have a small example where this happens?
It should be easy to fix.

I think someone may have provided information on this. If so, I apologize
for not saving that message. Also, I do not find the answer in TLC2.
However, I believe part of the answer is on the Tips Tricks Web page.
To get letter and Symbol headings in the index I need to use Letter.ist.
