class called toptesi in Lyx, but when I try to use it even on an empty doc,
it gives me an error and says the document could not be converted into the
document class toptesi.so what should I do in this case?

When I open an inset that contain an ERT is not show a handle (button) for
close it.
I must make a left click and choose option close from menu instead more easy
click over handle.
All others inset work well.
Regards.

I have been given a solution to this.
Copy the chart as a picture: Shift+Edit
Paste into Powerpoint
Right click on chart in Powerpoint and Save as picture
In this case the picture is saved as a .wmf that works with lyx and the
quality is very good.
