way to render blank lines in Lyx-Code mode than adding a space to the
blank line?

Is this expected behavior? Is that the recommended solution for this?

FYI, I ended up installing LyX 2.1 on my local machine so I don't have
to do X11 remotely.

Are there any tricks to using LyX with remote X11, beyond using
-graphicssystem native? That helps, but typing is still very slow, i.e.
one character change a second.

I would like to do this so I can define a TeX variable in my LaTeX
preamble and have it control the addition of slides.

Is there a way to have dvips use a directory other than /tmp for
temporary files? I am using lyx 1.2.3 and tetex 1.0.6.
I have a memory-based /tmp file system and it is too small to for dvips
to generate a presentation I am working on.

I used to use lyx 1.6 and was able to include EPS files that would
render as full spline fonts in the output file. With 1.2.1, I find that
the file is outputting the eps file as a rasterized image of the font,
and it looks poor.
I assume this was done as part of this:

My guess is that some type of patch for this should be made, though mine

I know I can export eps from xfig, and use it in LyX. That is what I am

Does anyone have xfig to see if they can get this to work. I honestly
don't need it for my project. I was just reporting I don't think it
works properly.

Yes, I tried both. One showed nothing, the other kind of worked after I

was added in this release, yet I can't find any mention of it in the

I like the fact reLyX is a command-line utility. I can convert a whole
directory with one script.

I know with LyX, I can output latex, and use latex2html for conversion
to html. I actually now use latex2html, then use lynx -dump to convert
to pretty good looking ASCII.
It would be nice if lyx could dump nice ascii and html directly.
