I have replaced sgml-tools and lyx 1.0.3 by new rpms
tetex-lyx-1.0.4-1
lyx-1.0.4-1
sgmltools-CVS19990807-2
I use RH 6.0 with tetex-0.9-17
Now I can't use my old Linuxdoc files (in fact files for printing and
html pages generation)
When I use SGML Docbook , I get:

Hi all.
When I try to generate postscript from a Docbook document via Lyx, I
get my title displayed twice, once typeset in large, centered text,
and once more in smaller text, which I don't really want.
Although I know little about how DocBook and sgmltools work, I assume

however my suse 6.2 distribution has a group with installation of docbook

so that, logically I should be able to use lyx 1.04 docbook feature.

DocBook style in order to export to .sgml. Unfortunately I can't find
any way to convert the resulting .sgml output to .html. I have tried
'sgml-tools-1.0.9' as well as 'sgmltools-2.0.2' to no success.

You can't use both docbook and linuxdoc unless you have both smgltools
version 1 and version 2 installed. The sgmltools you installed is one of

I now see the DocBook support is only in 1.04. Sorry for the stupid

I am running LyX 1.03, and I see on the web page that DocBook support
was added in this release, yet I can't find any mention of it in the
manuals or in the program. Can someone tell me where the DocBook
support is?

The docbook is a new type of document layout, so you should first change it to
docbook.
Then you export your document as docbook
I have seen than lyx 1.04pre8 supports docbook. How? is the linuxdoc export the
good choice?

Is LyX only setup to work with the sgml-tools v1.0?
I'm needing to produce documents in multiple formats and was thinking
about using LyX to produce the SGML.
How do I use DocBook instead of LinuxDoc with LyX? Is it possible?

I know this has been asked before (most recently in february) but I'm
still curious: is there a schedule/plan for docbook support in Lyx?
Should I expect it in 1.0.3? Or will I be left hanging longer?

That would be good since it allows to specify additional option
