Hi Mike,
John Panarese's macfortheblind pages contains a couple of references that you
might like, including all the tips for how to use punctuation for Dragon
Dictation, that also apply to Siri. This is on the same page he keeps for
third party tips and tricks for iOS apps, so I do a Google s

I'm sure Google will pull up other references, but one good source of Siri
punctuation dictation refinements is here.
Have fun!

Hi Mike,
Punctuation is quite easy to use. Just say, for instance, "period," "comma,"
and the like.
Common acronyms are handled automatically based on usage, but I'm not sure
there's a definitive list anywhere. Less common ones might require some use of
the Siri capitalization commands. These ca
Hi michael, yes it is. for example just say hello, how are you? say the words

Hi,
Now that I have the iPhone 4S, I am starting to experiment with Siri. I was
wondering if there was a way to get Siri to use proper punctuation in
sentences. Is it possible, for example, to tell Siri to insert punctuation
marks in sentences? How can one get Siri to handle acronyms properly
Greetings,
One Bible app that I have is called Youversion. It seems to be okay, but I'd
like something that would be a little easier to use. Nevertheless, it is
accessible and at least one blind person that I know of really loves it. It's
a question of personal taste, should think..

Hi Martin,
Yes you are dead right and your suggestion fixed the problem. I must have
accidentally muted the sound at startup and my iMac has remembered that ever
since. So just after pressing the start button I pressed the mute button which
would have unmuted sound and presto the startup chord
Hi there. Wondering if anyone knows of software for the bible for the mac?

You'll find that the volume will randomly drop -- some times the change is
probably attributable to an inadvertent holding of the volume down key. Still,
I suspect there may be a bug somewhere. For example, when I pull my phone out
of a dock, the speaker volume may be all the way down.

Hi Mike and Ian,
Mike responded before I could, but his statement is correct: the volume of
VoiceOver through the speaker and the volume for other audio sources playing
through the speaker are set separately on the iPhone. If it happens that for
some reason the volume for VoiceOver has dropped
Hello Ian,
I am greatly relieved to report that the problem has been solved. Though your
diagnosis was incorrect, it got me to thinking, and I resolved the problem in a
pretty non-spectacular way.
First of all, I went to the Sounds entry in settings and determined that my
sound volume was at

Hello Mike, no it is your Iphone, this should not happen. I'm on my third

getting a sighted person to check that the volume is on full when using
speakers. If it is on full and there is still no sound, go to apple and try
Hello everyone,
Last Friday, I purchased an unlocked iPhone 4S with 64 GB of RAM, and I am
ecstatic. I am having one issue, however, and I'd really appreciate some
thoughts.
At present, I can only use VO with earphones. As soon as I remove the
earphones, I don't hear a thing. The only sound
Also, the upgrade is a downloaded dmg file. Can I upgrade directly
to 4.10, or do I have to go through 4.0 from 3.x? Have both files.
