Ok, I'm getting the feeling my drag & drop mail box issues in Mail are just 1
symptom of some system wide instability. I'm getting lots of apps crashing like

Hi Phil,
Can you describe what you're using for your Wi-Fi network? What model server,
and protocol? (8.0211N or G, WPA or WEP encryptions, etc.)? I don't have an
iMac, and probably someone else will be able to answer this, but that's the
kind of information that will help to troubleshoot.
Hi Geoff and Others,
Here's the link to Dan Frakes' Macworld article, "How to make a bootable
Mountain Lion install drive". (Use Safari reader with Command-Shift-R to read
the article):

I know you didn't... what I meant was this:
Through the recovery tool, you can access disc utility. You can also
access it, though, in the utilities folder. When you menntioned the
recovery tool, I thought you meant using disc utility in that. Maybe
you didn't, :)

Hi Geoff,
Did you format the SD card as GUID? I think that's necessary, although I
haven't gone through these steps. There's also a way to create a bootable
image that used Carbon Copy Cloner that I can dig out,

Hi All,
In celebration of the new version 8 release of DVDRemaster Pro, the developer
has put this app on sale at the Mac App Store for $9.99 for a limited time,
reduced from its usual price of $49.99. This application allows you to extract
audio or video tracks from DVDs and also to recompres

I'm not quite sure what this was in reply too. The below doesn't quite seem to
make sense to me. I never mentioned disk utility at all.

A thumb drive is a little USB stick, about the length of your thumb (hence the
name "Thumb Drive").

Yep exactly Michael! :) There in rectangular shape, with a little
thing at the end that goes in either of the slots next to the safe
charge port thing. They allow you to have more memory and such. hth!

Hello Michael,
Yes, a thumb drive is the same as a USB memory stick, and can be plugged into
the USB slot of your MacBook Pro.

Are you talking about a USB thumb drive or a SD card? I would
presume the former. If you use the recovery tool, you'll have no
trouble. I think

OK, if I understand this correctly, Sarah is advocating the use of a dual-layer
DVD. Guess what folks, I suggested that from day one. :)
Although actually, it may be that even that doesn't work. I tried it and got
errors. I think the image has to be the right size, although I could be wrong

Could you please try just a little bit harder to make your messages legible.
Just about every word is miss-spelled at the moment and it's really difficult
to figure out what you're trying to say.
Not criticising, folks, before anybody jumps on their high horse. :)

Hi Mary
First suggestion would be to help you with typing. In the "Rotor", you need to
change the typing mode to "Touch Type". That would do away withy the need to
"double-tap" to enter a letter. As soon as your finger is on the letter you
want, just lift your finger off the screen slightly
Hi Paul
This may help with your origimal question. have you tried using the list tab
which just lists all your events down the centre of the screen? So you can
swipe right to hear each one read out, or just Drag a finger down the screen
and you will hear the word you're looking for.
Hope this
Hello Mary,
Welcome to the list. Is this your first experience with a touch screen device?
You might find it easier to read the iPad User's Guide on the web browser of
your computer, first. You can find a copy at:

Hi to help with the typing!
You can keep your finger on the pad and when you get to the letter you wish to
type just tap with another finger either on the same hand or the other!
Also you can change to touch type!
When on the edit field use the rota to select typing flick up to touch then

According th the life hacker article I sent, or I hope I sent, Internet is

I'll have a look when I get home in about 10 or so hours. I would look in the

if they have any hints regarding that. lol!

There should be a link that says for VoiceOver users click here. Double tap
on this and the fully accessible version of this guide should load.

Hello, everyone.
I am using an iPad 2 from work. I have the iPad users guide installed,
and it seems you would have to be a pretty good navigator just to read
it. Even when I find what I'm looking for in the table of contents, it
doesn't read it right away. Does anyone have suggestions how to
Hi Sarah,
The month calendar view does indeed work as you describe. However my problem is
not "what events are happening on 10 August" but rather "I have a dentist
appointment sometime in mid August but cannot remember when". For this purpose
the list view is ideal if it would start at a sensib

You obviously misunderstood. :)
It isn't possible any longer to create an operating system DVD with Mountain
Lion. You need to create a thumb drive instead.
