I had to do the related messages bit first before it would let me uncheck the conversations box. I have got it working now, There is an advantage to the conversation way of sorting which is if there are a huge bunch of messages with the same thread and it's a thread your not interested in you

Actually I just hit enter on the whole conversation and left and arrow through thereby reading the whole conversation with 1 hand, or at least that' the way it's supposed to work. ML broke threading in some folders where it will only thread by name, and the related messages thing is not checked

I believe there's target mode but since I've never used a mac in target mode I don't know how it works. I think you attach a firewire cable to both macs and boot throne you want to move your folder from by holding down the t key. After that I don't know what to do. Hopefully this is a push in

Hi Dónal, Can't you just ftp or sftp from one machine to the other if they're both on either a wireless or wired network? Do you have the USB ethernet connector for the MacBook Air? Of course, with 98 GB, that might take a while. Also, AirDrop is supposed to work as a way to share files
