Try turning cursor tracking off, that made it work for me in the Notes
application.

I have exactly the same problem with Mail in Lion so it appears to be a long
running bug.
It is annoying but I just have to save attachments and look at them that
way.

Yes, I can duplicate this every time. What I do is use the save
attachments command from the file menu once I know what the attachment
is via a Quicklook.

I thought that it shows when you expand the more info dialogue. Ok. for some
mp3s the bit rate does not show. I don't know why. I fyou have amadeus you can

Thanks, I figured it out. The folder you back up to the cloud shows up as an
alias on the computer in which you backed it up. However, when I went to my
other computer, it showed up as a folder. That was what confused me at first.
