You can skip the registration process I am sure there is a "Skip" button.
Possibly you've missed it if you've just rushed through the process.

There are "Skip" buttons whereby you can do the install if you don't have a
network connection. Also, there has been much talk on this list recently about
installing via flash media. So yes, of course you can install your OS without
an Internet connection.

You know guys, and this is no disrespect to Apple, but I don't like how they

Yes; we've done that once. The build of Lion we have as an install.app is

If you backed up the dmg in the install lion app file you could burn it to a

Hello Lynne,
As far as I know, this should work, as the Lion download is not specific to any
one machine, unlike the Snow Leopard DVDs that were shipped with Macs prior to
Lion's release. I've not tired this though as I use CCC.

Many thanks indeed. I thought it would work; but I decided to check first
because I didn't particularly want to waste the time otherwise. It will take a
while because the ™ backup is on a network volume.
Thank you again.

Hi,
Doesn't it matter how one is installing Lion? If one is using a DVD it
would not take as long as another person that is installing from a
download. Then it also might depend on how fast the connection is from
your machine to the apple servers.
Thanks

It took me about a half hour to install but every system is different so you

minutes from finishing. I'd say keep voice over running during the whole thing
so you can monitor it.
