NOpe It still works very well. In fact I just compleated a fully automated
stream on my linode yesterday with it.
Btw you will have to install the itunes scripts if you want to make use of the
lists in radio logic as they are not accessible. The developer I'm not sure is

Hi Folks:
Has anyone on this list had any luck streaming audio from Nicecast to

Knowing Rogue Amoeba a resounding yes. They have a pleasant reputation

I haven't used this software for quite some time but I do use other pieces of
software put out by the same developers.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Nicecast was among several products that still
required OSX certification and thus couldn't be guaranteed to run reliably and

Hi all
I think I need to post a slight correction to what I wrote earlier regarding
Nicecast. Actually this should have been pretty obvious to me really.
Shoutcast v2 is actually a complete server solution and has no relationship
whatsoever to NiceCast. I have the server components for Mac

You shouldn't be able to broadcast to the wrong station. If you configure your
ports properly and password-protect the server, that isn't going to be
possible. Now, let's see whether Nicecast supports Shoutcast version 2. The
new protocol is, I must admit, very impressive in
Ah I interact where possible as I have clumsy fingers. lol! glad you got it
working. Now make sure that the right server is selected when you go on the air
or you will have a mess like I've done before. yeah broadcasting to the wrong
station is not fun.
Be blessed and good luck.
On Nov 4, 2012,
I found ways of doing it by using the OS rather than VoiceOver. To be honest,
I try to avoid all this interacting stuff where possible, if there are
operating system alternatives. I actually found that I didn't need to interact
with the tables at all once I got the right window open. I was ab
there but set it
to shout cast and fill out the fields.

Hi all
OK, I know how to bring up the NiceCast server windows now. But I don't see
where you configure the actual server type. We need it set to Shoutcast. Any
tips pleasE?

So which encoder are you using on the Mac? I ask because the Shoutcast 2
protocol has been rewritten and if Nicecast doesn't support it it is obsolete
so your station won't appear in the Shoutcast directory.

I think you can set up the server by using the Window menu in Nicecast,
(Command+2).

Hi all
Anybody know how yo configure NiceCast as a "Shoutcast" server? I thought I'd
seen it somewhere that you could do it that way. But if I did, I'm not seeing
it now. Also, is there an easy way of encoding a live stream and sending it to
a server using OS X? If so,
Hello to all. is there a way to tell nice cast to output the tracks I play to a
CSV file or some kind of log I can then convert to a CSV file? I need it for
billing purposes.
Thanks all. If not is there away to tell djay to do this? I did not see how in
the menus, or the prefs.
Be blessed.
