Hi all
I'm trying to make a playlist based on a selection of tracks. Having searched
for the items by album name in the iTunes library, having subsequently located
the tracks, I then use shift+down-arrow to select the contiguous list of
tracks. Once done, I hit Commant+Shift+N, or use the pla
Hi there!
Why it does not work using those commands I do not know!
But if after selecting you open VO+shift+M and use the make new playlist option
in there it does come up with name new playlist!

Hi Colin
There's a problem with this method. The playlist then appears unsorted which,
to be honest, is going to be more work than it's worth. Oddly enough, this
worked fine until yesterday.

What you could do instead is what I do.
1. select the tracks with shift down arrow.
2. hit control n to create a new playlist and name it like Sarah's mess or
something.
3. I forgot to add that before step 2 copy the tracks to the clip board.
4. Now paste the tracks in to the iTunes playlist
Ok I feel stupid. My mind was in another world. Replace the control n with cmd
n. and the rest of the steps should work. Again sorry about this.

Hi Sarah
Point being here that you shouldn't have to do all that. What's the point in
having a "New Playlist from Selection" option if it does nothing? Also it
never used to be necessary to muck about with all that sorting.

ansi i never hit new playlist from selection but I create the playlist first
then move to the selection of music part then select copy to playlist and
choose it instead. or I copy paste from the finder in to the pla

Hi!
OK I do not know if this has been added in recent updates!
But I've just noticed when setting up a new playlist and before adding any
tracks to it!
If you open command+j for view options the 1st popup menu sets how the playlist
is sorted!
If it is on name then you can open that menu and chang
Hello everybody
I am not sure if there's a way to do this, but we need to play an m3u playlist
from the Internet. Can you paste the URL anywhere in iTunes or anything like
that? I thought there was a way but I cannot find it at the moment. Thank you.

Hello Sarah
I think we should have been a little more clear regarding our requirements. So,
let me try again.
We are looking for a fail-safe method of opening on-the-fly ".m3u" playlists
whose source is an external URL. The reason for this is that we are compiling a
website and we
