Good luck and hope you can get a better answer there, or at least more clearer
instructions. lol!

Hi
I have been following the thread on "deleting a skype account" and I would
like to ask a couple of questions.
If I create a skype account using a windows 7 home premium platform, would I
be able to use my Mac Book Pro to access the same account? If yes, then
presumably I wou
Hi Andy,
I can tell you for sure that you cannot delete or edit your skype name. If you
are not happy with it, unfortunately, you will have to create a new account.
That is annoying, I whole-heartedly agree .
Take care,

Hey all,
Would love to hear what I am doing wrong as I had signed up with Skype through

Hi Lewis -
Looks like I'm stuck on this one. I guess I'll just have to create another
account, and let the one I don't want just live on redundantly -

Hi Zack -
I already looked at the website, and as you say, there are options for adding
extra info, and changing pass wortds, as well as your full name, but not the
Skype name, and nowhere does there appear to be an option for actually deleting
the account. Hope somebody has some more on this o
Hi Andy,
Sorry - I misread your post.
Like Zack said, you will need to go to the Skype website, however, I'm
not sure if you can change the Skype name, as I looked in that
section. I may be wrong though.
Regards.
Lewis.

Andy,
Things like this are handled through the Skype web site. You want to log on to
www.skype.com, and you’ll find options to edit all sorts of things. Certainly
the Skype name will probably be one.
Hope this helps,
Zack.

Hi Lewis -
The account is already set up, it's not that I've made a typing mistake when
trying to sign in, it's that the Skype name itself is not as I want it, but
because I tapped the sign up button, the account got created, and it doesn't
look like I can edit it or delete it -

Hi Andy,
I believe you have to sign out of Skype first (which I assume you have
already done), then tab to where it says "Skype Name combo box" or
something like that. press the backspace key to delete the old Skype
name and re-type it in, then press enter to sign in, or VO right arrow
to the Sign
Hi all -
I want to change my Skype name as I made a typo in it, but can't see where to
do this. I thought about deleting the account and starting again, but couldn't
see where to delete the account. Can I do either of the above? -

As all your contact info is stored on Skype servers, nothing else is required.
