My sons computer has no sound. The sound adjustments in the control
panel slides back down when adjusted?
It says the sound port is in use by another application. But, it says to
check the ports? There is nothing plugged into the mic or audio ports.
Has anyone else experienced the same problems

There is a program called Grammarian. I used to use it under OS9 and I think
you could get other languages for it. Casady & Greene used to publish it but
that company folded. I thought I read that someone else picked up the

Have you checked the inits (extensions) to see if one is sound related?
Try turning any non apple inits off and restart, then turn them back on
to find the culprit.
