It sounds like during the install, the installer decided it needed to update the pre-bindings for everything again. This happens every now and then for odd reasons. Pre-bindings are how all of the various programs, program parts, libraries, etc. know about each other and get used by each other.

I have a client out of town who recently purchased a G5 iMac and she needs to print 3 part checks via a dot matrix printer. She isn't ready to change her checks nor her dot matrix style of printing but her current Epson LQ-570 doesn't appear to have the right hardware connection. Can anyone sugges

Am I right that the problem is the physical connection? I can't imagine a new G5 would have the port for what is probably a serial printer. Isn't there some way she could set up her old computer as a print server just for the dot matrix printer? Seems to me that would solve a couple of problems
