Can't add printer on Mojave

I'm trying to add a Canon C3530i printer on a MacOS Mojave Mac mini, but no joy. I have the printer connected to my LAN at verified unique IP address 192.168.0.10 and I can ping it. I have added the Canon PPDs to /Library/Printers/PPDs via their install package. In the Sys Prefs Printer/Scann

Why are you going the IP Printer route? Most SOHO networked printers these days have drivers that know how to find them using the default add dialogs. I think you just may be confusing the driver. Try adding it as a vanilla printer (you don't have to change any of the current network bindings, j

The printer is an all-in-one, and is on the LAN as an IP printer because other LAN computers (Linux, Windows) need to print/scan with it. The printer is not discoverable via Bonjour. The "Add" pane in Sys Prefs shows nothing under the Default tab. Is that what you mean by "plain vanilla" printe
