after having no luck installing freeradius 1.1.6 und Tiger I now tried
to port install freeradius 1.1.7 on Leopard.
But also had no luck :-(
Below you can see the log of the second install run.
As you can see most of the makings worked fine.

problem solved, the system veclib was corrupted. No idea how this can
happen, but after copying the original one from installation CD it
works now,
