Hi all,
So I thought Netflix recently lost a lawsuit and is supposed to be becoming
more accessible?
I keep having problems accessing it from my Apple TV. When I click on either
my husband's or my profile, I'm taken to the Popular on Netflix screen, and
there doesn't seem to be any way to
Very good. I knew there was some trick I was missing. Thank U for the quick
response.

The previews are still there. You just have to touch three fingers on the
screen to have it read out. That is for single messages, not Messages in
expanded threads that you are flicking through. You have already discovered
that those are still read in the old way.

Hi all,
I have just in the last week started using mail in iOS 10 and I have at least
one question. The Mail app used to show me the number of lines that I had
selected to preview on each message. Now it will only read messages that are in
conversations which I expand. I have checked my mail
I'm not aware of a keyboard equivalent, no. This is why I say, Apple didn't
really think this one out that well, in my personal opinion, at least. Sure,
there is mapping a keyboard commander, which is what I did, but, still...

Uh, no offense. That doesn't work in my case. The Alva doesn't have a braille
input keyboard, so I can't do an M chord as you suggest.

That's exactly what I did. I set up a commander to mute Speech. I really
wonder why they didn't natively give us a command to do this aside from the
trackpad commander. What if you're like me, and don't have a track/touch
pad? I really don't think Apple thought that one through the greatest.
Hi,
I don't believe that there is a set command, but you can certainly set up your
own in the Keyboard Commander. I did just for fun a few minutes ago. I chose
the 0 (zero) key. So, in the VO Utility, under Commanders in the Keyboard
Commander, press on the Add button. Enter the key of
Hello,
I’m wondering if any one has experience with using LastPass on the Mac or
iPhone. I’m a new user and am curious about getting started, and accessibility
issues with VoiceOver and this service.
Feel free to email me off list if you wish.

Hi there,
We all know about the 3 finger double tap on the track pad for muting speech,
is there a similar command for the keyboard? Some Braille displays such as the
PacMate 20 and 40 cell models does not have a keyboard, so the Mac keyboard
will have to do for some.

The keyboard commander he that you suggested is just one that I had made when I
gave you my voiceover preferences, but you can also press space with M to mute
and unmute speech

Hi,
For the speech when moving between items, could you mute VoiceOver while
reading to solve this issue by ensuring that keyboard commander is on with VO
shift K and pressing right option d?

Guys,
I am currently using a braille display with my Mac Mini Late 2012 on El Capitan.
I have a few questions, please.
First off, I am using contracted braille, and have disabled dot 7 8 braille.
I’m noticing that when typing in a text field, be it in Text Edit, Pages, Mail,

Phil, it depends on how many voices you’re pulling down. I’ve seen this take
from 30 seconds on the fast side to over an hour on the slow. I would wait a
while longer and see if you get anywhere.
I’m also assuming your downloading these over a normal provider and not
cellular service. Some
Hey there Phil.
So, yes… I definitely have seen this take over an hour. It’s rare, but I’ve
actually seen it take up to a couple of hours. That said, the waiting to
download shouldn’t take that long.

I've set several voices to download in the voice over utilities, but they seem
to be stuck in the "waiting to download"status. Is it normal for them to be in
the hold status for an hour or more? I have my MacBook air on power with Wi-Fi
connected.
