The battery doesn’t need calibrating; sensors in the battery never allow them
to overcharge. The reason you want to run the discharge/recharge routine is
simply that the battery gauge, which measures the output power of the battery
in order to determine its level and times the progressive

I'll look at that. I didn't know they serviced batteries. I thought they just
meant you had to get a new phone.
It seems to be behaving normally, this happened awhile ago but it seems to
have resolved itself but I'll check the diagnostics and see if it shows up
anything.

I’d agree that the most likely result of a battery calibration would be a
possible, small improvement in the battery gauge's accuracy. But I don’t think
it should be huge. If folks are getting really bizarre battery readings such as
the gauge being stuck at 100% as you described, I’d wonder
Yeah, I'm not a scholar of batteries either but over time if you don't run the
battery down to 0% periodically you may find that the fuel gauge gets out of
sync. So you can have a situation for example when your battery charge says 0%
but the phone is still working, or you can have 30% charge

Hi Mark, yes I mean let the phone draw until it self powers down. Then wait an
additional hour or so after this point and charge it fully with a complete
cycle.
Let me know if that’s more clear.

Yes you should get voice over feedback.
I meant the restart to be a separate option to try you do not need to restart
the phone after it boots from being powered down.
VO should start, press your unlock button and see if it powers on. Attach
power so you can feel whether it’s on or not.

This has never been a problem for me, try your three home triple home press and
see if that starts VO.

Hi Kawal and everyone. I tried this with my 5S and no VoiceOver or Siri when
the phone restarted. I have a pass code on my phone so it looks like I will
have to have someone enter my pass code and turn on VoiceOver for me in order
to do anything.
I was hoping I could do it from iTunes, but I
Hello Scott.
I’ve have been following your advice on calibrating my battery as you know I
have the 6S Plus.
So I let the battery run down until there was no power left. So now that the
phone has almost charged, I held the home and power button together. Would the
phone have started as there
Hello, yes you should give voiceover feedback. If not you can simply asked Siri
to turn voiceover. On for you.

Hello Mark, yes that's exactly what Scott means.

Hello Scott,
I changed the Subject line to more accurately reflect our conversation.
Thank you ever so much for the tips on how to calibrate my iPhone battery.
I will do exactly as you suggest.
I have already rebooted the phone and I have forced a reset via
