I never enabled time stamp in IChat. It was that way by default from the first
time I used it. I'd like to disable it but have not seen an entry for that.

iChat will read the incoming message using the System voice if you go into
Preferences, select the Alerts tab, set event to Message Received, then check
the Speak an Announcement checkbox.
It isn't the default voice, but at least it works.

Hello; In my opinion ichat is accessible, however, that isn't the
main concern with it. YOu can only imput AIM or .mac addresses which
severely limits its usefulness. I personally use adium as do many

The built in microphone works perfectly fine in iChat for audio
or video conferencing. I have used it plenty of times. There is no
real setup involved at all.
As for MSN chat, technically, it is not supported, though there
are ways to do this using Jabber. However

this is good to know. I don't know how much I'll be able to use
IChat, like many others, most of my friends use MSN messenger. But,
I'm glad to know I can just use the built-in mike. Hopefully I'll get
a chance to try this out soon.
