by the 13 inch Macbook Pro. It is the same thing and for the same
price as the one it replaces. It is the best bet for durability,
battery and other things.

The new batteries in the MacBook Pros are supposed to give you 40%
more time away from mains electricity and to last for more cycles.
Keeping an Apple laptop plugged in does not damage the battery.

and now the disk won't come out. The MBP tries to eject it, it gets

Mike, on my desktop, the System Profiler icon is accessible, so I can go in
there with minimal keystrokes. When on the list of choices, I hit letter P
until getting to the Power option, open it, tab once and then the battery
information is available on that screen. I've turned down the brightn
it is on yours, I have to reset the brightness very time I boot up and
sometimes i forget I'm getting a solid 4-5 hours depending n what I do i
missed the new 10 hour mbp by 4 weeks and didn't kow it was coming out you
would think that the lady at the apple store woudl have told me of cours

If the brigtness is set to 0, it indeed goes back to 100% on a restart of the
computer. Maybe your brigtness isn't set to 0? If you have it set to like 5%
this doesn't happen.

every time I check, not sure it tracks the actual percentage properly, but it
certainly appears to hold the initial setting
I try to remember to change it to 5 percent before shutting down, but as soon
as it's booted, I change it to 0 percent, no sense wasting any battery power on
a display I can't read.

Well, I just had my wife look at the display. She said the brightness was not
good at all until i started raising it with the F F2 key combination. When at
100%, she stated it was much improved. So it would appear that the setting is
being held on my machine at 0%.

My MacBook Pro with 2 GB of WRAM here is pritty fast and works good. I haven't

Umm. I think your mistaken. you have the firewire port, and the ability to
upgrade to a faster processor, more RAM, and I could be wrong on this point but
I don't think the plastic Macbook has a memory card reader.

for going back to school I will be getting the following technology.
macbook pro with 4gigs of ram 250gb hard drive, dual-booted with windows7
business or win7 ultimate, ms-office for wihndows, system access and

pricing information for the new macbook pro's?
