Me vs sighted help signing in

Hi, I'm frustrated when I try to sign into my Mac Book Air with OS 10, (not the latest yet until I get the hang of things) For some reason I can't get through, but my sighted assistant is able to do so! Does anyone know why, and how I can get around like he does? I would really appreciate an

This should be an object lesson in why you should never, ever, ever, ever allow your user and iCloud accounts to be linked. Doing so creates a dependency between your Mac and iCloud. That’s just not necessary unless you think you might forget your password some day, and need Apple to help you
