Hello, I’ve just done the update to 10.14.1 with no voice problems. I have four different languages set up on my MacBook Air with my system running in English. Fred is my preferred voice and that’s the one that was speaking after the update. I do not have automatic language switching selected

I've not experienced this but you might try exporting the VO settings to the desktop after its all set up. Then if the voice goes south again, just activate that exported file and it will automatically import itself. Do the export with VO Utility open, the command is on the file menu.
