I have really enjoyed NewsRack on the Mac lately, but this morning the app
wasn't working very well.
Every time I pressed a keystroke,NewsRack was busy then VoiceOver would say
NewsRack ready. I would press another keystroke and again VoiceOver would say
busy … NewsRack ready.
I have started using Newsrack on the Mac and one issue I have encountered is
when reading the content within an article, VoiceOver will sometimes tell me in
the middle of the content, html dimmed. In other words it seems the content is
refreshing and VOiceOver is caught in the middle of the

Hey, I use Newsrack all the time, not sure what buttons you are
referring to where are these unlabled buttons? I assume you are using
it on the mac?

I'm using it on the Mac. They seem to be scattered throughout the window. If
you tab back and forth, you will find them. They don't have help tags, either.

Thanks for the suggestion Nek, and thanks for letting us know Alex. I will
probably check it out this weekend. Bummed about Newsrack, but Newsrack wasn't
a hundred percent accessible. Ideally, would love to find something that syncs,
but that could take awhile.

Just checked out Luck News. At first glance it is very accessible. I will need
to play around with it a little, as it looks like there is an extra step to
open a link than there was in Newsrack. Also if you want to import more than 8
feeds, it will cost you .99 not bad at all just wanted to

Hey Jonathan, I haven't tried it yet, but have heard good things about Read
Kit. With the demise of Newsrack, I have decided in order for me to buy
anything, that synching is also important to me. I bought Lire on IOS a month
ago, and do really like it, but it doesn't seem to sync wit

ReadKit on the Mac is completely accessible, supports syncing with Feed
Wrangler, FeedBin, and about half a dozen other services. It is very similar to
NewsRack, even costs about the same. Only criticism I have is that it doesn't
support feed management with Feed Wrangler from withi

could just arrow up or down through the message title and once you moved over
it, that marked it as read. With Read Kit does it do that? I guess I am looking
for an RSS reader that quickly marks articles

The Feed Wrangler iOS app is free. I've downloaded it and used it a bit, but
not a whole lot yet. You can't, so far as I'm aware, swipe down on an article
to delete it. But there is a button two swipes away from the article title
which you can double tap to mark the article as read.

1. No, I don't know how to favourite things in Readability. I don't use
Readability. I just use the Readability view in ReadKit. For this I just press
the letter G and the article displays in full text.
2. I'm not sure how or where to view favourite items. I don't use this feature.

Yes, it is strange that I can't seem to find where the favorited articles go.
For example in Newsrack, command 3 would take you to the articles you have
favorited. Command 3 doesn't do anything in Read Kit, and Command 2 seems to be
something called Tags, haven't f
I think you need to tag some articles before any will show up in the tags list.
This feature doesn't interest me at all.
I wish they had a simple command to add articles to the Mac OS reading list.
I'd really like that.

Hey Nicholas, Thanks. I emailed the Developer about where to find favorites.
Hopefully they will get back to me. Yeah, the tagging doesn't really interest
me either. Also in Newsrack you could click control F for Facebook, Control T
for Twitter, and control E for email. According t
He told me he is working on such shortcuts for the next update. If you speak
with him, maybe ask that he includes shortcuts to add articles to the OS X
reading list.

I love using Newsrack to read feeds on my Mac. I have tried it on my IPod, but
though the interface is great, the wrong feeds open when I tap on a feed. Has
anyone else experienced this?
