Robert, Navigon only receives map updates when the app is updated. If you want the most current maps possible, the Garmin app is the way to go. I have not tried Tom TOm, but I find the Garmin interface to be a bit better than Navigon; however, both apps are quite good. I know the most recent ve

Hi Kawal: Call me dense. But, I still think there's too much rocket science involved in making Navigon work. I've gotten discouraged with the number of hoops to jump through, just to get directions somewhere. Or, perhaps I'm just too much of a homebody to make it worth my while to work with.
