And, as a followup: I tried MailMate, but owing to the silly authenticate plain
bug in iCloud, I can’t use it on my list account. I will send a note to
MailMate’s author, asking him for a workaround. But if you wanted an
alternative mail client on OS X, you could give that one a try.

Me neither. It seems to start out fine, then gradually get slower and slower.
Perhaps it is the size of folders? But it seems especially bad in the classic
view, forcing me into the modern layout which I really dislike. Perhaps it’s
time for a cleanup. Or perhaps I just use Thunderbird whic

Happens on Facebook and my banking website.
It's really a problem when a so called release to fix issues actually
introduces VoiceOver bugs.
Haven't come across a release this bad in a while from Apple and have
been using the Mac all the way back to Snow Leopard.

I’m using El Capitan too. But I’m now investing heavily in a transition back

Hey Scott. I actually sold my Windows laptop the same day I bought my Mac. I'm
glad I did because it forced me to use OS X and not rely upon Windows as a

Scott, I haven’t got Windows on either of my Mac machines and I’m glad about
that. At home, I solely use the Mac as like you, if I had windows on here, I’d
fall back to windows. This I think has made me feel comfortable.

I cannot help but surmise that there are many many factors outside

An example is the web and its constantly evolving interfaces. Some

Mark,
I can't say I agree.
El Capitan at least to me, is far removed from previous releases when it
comes to bugs.
I yearn for the days of Mountain Lion when Safari didn't lock up.

Its not that simple for many. Transitioning to OS X is ultimately
achievable but the work involved is sometimes daunting to many users.
And some who think they have a handle on their Macs really do not. That

Hi Kawal,
I’m with you I don’t think people enter in to a Mac with the right mindset
sometimes. Another problem is I don’t think they make the leap fully. They
keep falling back on their windows machine and never force themselves to make
the transition. The only way I could make it work was t

Hello Jeff,
I, for one, am absolutely delighted with El Capitan. I cannot reproduce many
of the bugs that some have mentioned. This may be, in part, because of the
differences in the way people interact with the OS and/or applications.
For instance, I think the Mail application is better th

Hi,
AppleVis has put together a list detailing the current issues.

Hi jeff,
My advice would be to stay put for now.
There are still many issues that haven't been resolved from a accessibility
perspective.
