Hi all i am in the U.K where i phone teathering is allowed. I am definately ordering an ipad on May 10th but i am now having doubts about getting the 3G version based on reports from the U.S. My question therefore is if i can get teathering on an iphone could i teather it to a normal wireless ip

Scot. When people talk about tethering, it usually means that they are going to connect a phone to another device via usb or something. Obviously this isn't possible between the iPhone and the iPad. If there is an app that will take the 3g that the iPhone gets and then uses the wireless to make a

Hi Scott, I think that in the UK, tethering is only possible if you aren't on the O2 network. I have a friend who is able to tether with his iphone, but it's on Orange with a limited data plan. I'm with O2 and an unlimited data plan, but can't tether with my iphone. Cheers Thuy On 04/05/2010, S

Tethering on the iPhone was apparently a carrier plan choice, not an Apple/iPhone choice. So in the states AT&T has chosen to not allow tethering. Of course those who jailbreak their phones can do whatever they want, but for those who play by the rules, there is no joy in Mudville. CB Thuy wr
