I always buy my Audible audiobooks from Audible.com direct, which delivers the Audible audio files that play on any player compatible with Audible's digital handcuffs, which certainly get moved from the auto-add folder for me. If your audiobooks came from elsewhere, then they are essentially

These are books I got from the App Store on my iDevices. They are in the Books subfolder on the Windows machines. One title is the Old Farmers A;lmanac. The 2015 edition is on the iDevices.I do not see it anywhere on the Mac in iTunes. I found a previous edition in the Purchases window

Ah, I meant elsewhere than Audible. I wouldn't buy from Apple because that just means you're locked in to iTunes FairPlay DRM, which other devices don't understand. For example if you buy a Victor Reader Stream and want to play your Audible books, hopefully you've bought them from Audible

Ok, For some reason I was assuming that these were audio books. The only kind I can find on iTunes with one of the titles you gave is an iBook. Are these iBooks? When you said you got them from the app store it threw me as I’ve heard of books distributed as apps, although it isn’t normal.

My bad. I did not realize that iBooks are not audiobooks. Omce I came to that, I googled it and sure enough, iTunes no loanger, as of Mavericks, handles iBooks. So I ran the iBooks app and I see the books. Cam't say it was a waste of time as I learned a lot. And I thank you for working
