Go, read planet.maemo.org right now :-) I bought wrong one too, the same
one as Russ - HP iPAQ Bluetooth Foldable Keyboard. Great keyboard (five
rows) but doesn't support HID profile. There is kbdd that might work.

I just tried a Knopix live CD Linux and successfully enabled the r&d mode -
just works as expected. So I think, I have to fix my SuSE 9.3 installation
or switch to Ubuntu...

I wrote a post in my blog about Bluetooth keyboards [1]. I hope it could
be helpful for you, but I am afraid if your keyboard has not a HID
profile, it won't work with the plugin.

Actually, I'm starting the program from the x-console
app, from the device directly. On the scratchbox env,
it works perfectly from the console (regardless the
--sync option). And
