Hello,
shouldn't it be mentioned in the wiki HowTo_DistUpgrade, that
all steps should be perfomed with both targets, SDK_PC and
SDK_ARM?
E.g. do a "sbox-config -st SDK_ARM" and then change
/etc/apt/sources.lst and do
[sbox-SDK_ARM: ~] > apt-get update
[sbox-SDK_ARM: ~] > fakeroot apt-get dist
Yup, it could run but I keep on getting this error when i click on the

Hey
I do like the wireless keyboard overall (stowaway model). The caveats

Hi everyone,
I'm developing a small app just for kicks and I want to have a drawing
area similar to Sketch. I've followed the GTK tutorial, the Scribble
example part, on how to detect mouse movement and translate that to a
drawing.
The thing is that compared to Scribble, Sketch is really slick be

Try running fsck.vfat (Linux) or chkdsk (Windows) on it. I had
the same problem and that fixed it. You don't even need to remove
the card, just plug the 770 into your computer and run the fsck/chkdsk
on it once it is identified.

Hi everybody,
I have just flashed my device with the last firmware available from
nokia.com, I am having a strange behaviour.
Each time I put in the MMC card in the device, a message tells me that
"Memory card is corrupted or unformatted".
However, if I plug in the USB cable, I can mount the car
Hi guys,
I just got my 770 yesterday and now I want to start developing for it.
Seems like the 1.1 installer script is broken.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I'm not very proud of the section regarding modules in the how-to. I
wanted to mention the module issue so that people wouldn't get confused,
seemingly failing doing that :)
This how-to was something I wrote in quite a haste due to time
constraints and therefore had to limit the scope. Howev

Hello,
the howto is good but the part 'Compiling Modules' is confusing. It
looks like you are suggesting to put everything in kernel because
modules cannot be compiled.
Modules _can_ be compiled and _do_ work and IMHO using modules is better

Good day, worthy hackers.
In a nutshell: I'm trying to port ipsec-tools. After satisfying a
set of build-dependencies and dancing around a few more by selectively
mangling build scripts, I'm a bit stumped. After all the efforts, it is
ipsec-tools package itself that fails to build, which I can
Hello,
i just updated the libschedule and gpe-calendar packages at the official

These packages will fix the problem with scheduled events causing gpe-calendar
not to start anymore.

Hi Pete,
I don´t really want to use the scratchbox environment to compile the kernel.
Ed and Clemens say that it is possible to use standard procedures and still
get the kernel compiled correctly. If anybody has such an experience, I would
really appreciate to get a feedback.
Best regards,
Igo

Hi,
check out the kernel compilation how-to that was added to maemowiki yesterday
[1]. Regarding the problem you're having, it strongly sounds like your initfs
is not in sync with your kernel image. Please note that the instructions assume
you are using the 1.1 final release (published yesterd

Hi,
I´ve compiled the kernel exactly like Clemens said and I´ve also used ´make
n770_defconfig´ like Ed proposed. Then I´ve used flasher to flash the kernel.
The problem is, in both cases the kernel works, the system starts loading and
just before the actual start it hangs and after a while the
Hi,
I've been browsing maemo wiki and found that the
"Application Catalog" listed quite a number of applications that I found
interesting.
But:
1) Is it possible for me to download those
applications and install them into the Maemo SDK installed in my PC? In
other words is it possible
