I am attempting to set up several lists for the Toronto Shambhala
Centre, a non-profit organization.
I just installed Mailman 2.1.2 to a brand-new full install of RH Linux
8.0, fully updated. I did my best to follow all the instructions but I
don't know what directory I should point the A

how may i configure pipermail to munge email addresses to hide them
from spambots? also, how do i munge addresses that appear on the mailman
webpages (list admins, e.g)?

Sorry fior sending so much email.
But i have rectified this by allowing port 53 for DNS outbound - this is
all new to me, so getting sendmail, tptables, red hat and mailman going
this week has been a big challenge - and has resulted in tons of nagging
people for help.

Finally i have resolved all previous issues. Mail is being sent, recieved
etc etc
(the /var/log/mailman/error was chmod to 644 by default i changed it to 664
and web interface started working)
Now i have turned on iptables (no point having it on during testing) and

Yeah thanks. Is there a way to have mailman remove this text when it
recieves mail for the list, we will be having mostly staff use our list and
this just makes it dead messy.

1. Generally speaking, the MTA (in your case, Exim), does not do
anything related to Mailman except direct incoming mail to Mailman for
processing. This is where the MTA aliases come into play.
I suppose it might be possible for Exim to see a "subscribe" message and
send it to the app
Mailman does it's stuff with cron jobs. I have no qrunner entries
because 2.1.x does things a little differently, but those entries sound
right for 2.0.x. For comparison, my yesterday's LogWatch for user mailman

No the users mailbox is for orders and other stuff there is no filter
rules wich pipes it into mailman but i thought the exim director
supposed to grep those messages.
