What would cause this error message when I try to save
edits to the html on the general list information
page? This seems to occur following an upgrade to a
newer version of Mailman. If I delete and recreate the
list, there is no problem.

is the default homepage for the virtual server. The closest I've come is
displaying listinfo as a binary. I'm running redhat 8, apache 2.0.40, and
mailman 2.1.1.

I am trying to install the latest version of mailman on my
server site. My site is running Red hat Linux and remotely I am running
XP-Pro. Can anyone give me some tips to install Mailman, It looks
like I need to be on the local server to do so.

By the way, special thanks to Kathleen Webb for her great
walk-through on the basic install. It works fine, except her
non-server system doesn't have AppleMailServer and sendmail is the
only mailserver involved.

how about just
/making up/ a group 401 entry? Call it whatever name you like, like
"qmail-oddity". Then configure/make Mailman with gid 401, and hopefully
it won't refuse, since now that's a listed group.
