I’m sure it’s a shitty day for them, so good luck, we’ve all been there.
Sadly, as you all probably know once it gets fixed, they’ll probably be slammed
with incoming emails leading to longer delays.

hotmail/live mail-addresses that were not receiving mails from us,

Does it produce a bounce?
We see cases where eg Recipient verification on MS365 customers simply does not
work (apparently depending on which cluster they are hosted). Instead of
rejecting with some 5xx it will bounce later.
